German Study & Research Expo India 2012
A delegation of 18 German universities, research and funding institutions will tour across India and present their master and PhD Opportunities in New Delhi, Hyderabad and Chennai in February 2012. The Expo will present an excellent platform for a one-to-one exchange with representatives of German universities and research organisations. It is a great opportunity to ask anything a student or young researcher wants to know, in order to prepare a study or research stay in Germany!
Who should come to the German Study & Research Expo?
The Expo is aimed specifically at Indian graduates and postgraduates as well as PhD students. If you you are interested in doing a master´s programme or a PhD in Germany, the Study & Research Expo is the right event for you! All disciplines are welcome, but there is a focus on Natural Sciences, Engineering, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Economics and Management.What can you expect at the German Study & Research Expo?
Day 1: Walk-In Fair
Meet directly with official representatives from German higher education institutions and get first-hand information about curricula, admission procedures, funding, research and career opportunities, postgraduate courses, PhD offers and more.
Day 2: Interviews with PhD Candidates
Day 2 will be reserved for one-on-one interviews by appointment only. A specially designed online matchmaking tool with profiles on the exhibitors, PhD offers and the possibility to upload CV’s and research proposals will be available on 21 January in order to request appointment slots.
Presentations & Seminars
On both days, you will have the opportunity to attend seminars. Apart from presentations by the participating universities, there will be expert talks on topics such as campus life, engineering studies, management studies, natural science studies, visa norms, employment prospects and many more.

The German Study & Research Expo India 2012 is part of “Germany and India 2011-2012: Infinite Opportunities”, a fifteen-month collaborative celebration that will be held in India from September 2011 to November 2012 on the occasion of completing 60 years of Indo-German diplomatic relations.
