German National Youth Orchestra to perform in India

The New Year begins with a classical sensation from Germany. The German National Youth Orchestra (BJO) will be performing in India - the Land of diversity, Rich Music, Art & Culture – for the first time in its history. The group of around 70 talented and distinguished young musicians will be on an India tour from 16th January until 28th January. The orchestra looks forward to enthrall the audiences in Mumbai, Goa and Chennai.

The New Delhi World Book Fair (NDWBF), which begins in Delhi on January 6th with European Union as the guest country focuses on the most urgent existential issues like Climate change, global warming, and water pollution among others. Germany along with France and other European Union Member States (EUMS) are the participating countries under the EU Pavilion.

In India, 33 refugees were awarded scholarship this year under the DAFInitiative of the German Government. With a contribution of 40,52,910 INR, the scholarship programme is supporting the selected applicants to pursue their education at tertiary level (Universities and polytechnic institutes).
