Gisela-Bonn Award Ceremony of ICCR – The winners
The Gisela-Bonn Award Ceremony for 2015 and 2016 took place on 2nd April, 2018 and the prize was conferred on Anja Bohnhof and Dr. Moritz von Brescius.
Enlarge image Dr. Moritz von Brescius receiving the prize (© German Embassy New Delhi) This prize is awarded every year since 1996 by Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR), thereby honouring the work of young scientists and journalists, who have made a special contribution to strengthen the Indo-German relations. Since the award ceremony had to be cancelled last year, two prizes were now awarded for the years 2015 and 2016.
For the year 2015, the German photographer Anja Bohnhof was honoured, who has executed several, comprehensive photographic exhibitions and book projects in India in the past years.
Dr. Moritz von Brescius received the award for the year 2016. The scientific assistant and lecturer at the University of Konstanz is known for his publication on the expedition of the brothers Schlagintweit to India and Central Asia 1854-1858 among others.

The Gisela Bonn Prize was established to honour Professor Gisela Bonn, a great Indian connoisseur and promoter of Indo-German relations.
