The organization Shakti Shalini, ('shaktishali' means strong in Hindi) has been fighting to help women in emergency situations for more than 30 years. The victims can find refuge in the women’s shelter.
With the help of vocational training and education prospects for a financially independent life are to be created.
The German Embassy supports the organisation Shakti Shalini through donations like sewing machines, furniture or electrical appliances, in order to improve the facilities in Pehchan women’s shelter and to increase the range of courses.
Three staff members of the German Embassy visited Shakti Shalini and interacted with the women. Enlarge image The trainees in the course Cosmetics and Hairstyling styling the hair of the visitors (© German Embassy New Delhi)
