Conference on the dual system of vocational training abroad

Apr 4, 2013

The dual system of vocational training in Germany is the focus of increasing interest worldwide. On 24 April, the conference “German businesses – Pioneers of the dual system of vocational training abroad” is being held in the Federal Foreign Office.

Alongside the Federal Government which is actively responding to the increased interest in vocational training, many German businesses are also working successfully on vocational training abroad. Others are not yet engaging in this field, but are considering launching their own projects due to the growing shortage of skilled workers.

On 24 April, the conference “German businesses – Pioneers of the dual system of vocational training abroad” is being held in the Federal Foreign Office. Guido Westerwelle, Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs, Johanna Wanka, Federal Minister of Education and Research, and Eric Schweitzer, President of the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce, are to open the conference.

From 2.30 p.m., German businesses will present best practices in the sphere of vocational training abroad and these will be discussed in two panel discussions.

Alongside business representatives, ambassadors accredited in Germany have also been invited. English simultaneous interpretation will be provided.
