Germany has a lot to offer as a place of study, with more than 350 state and private universities, and a variety of courses. About 250,000 foreign students currently study in Germany, of which about 4,200 are Indians.

Most of the German universities are sponsored by the state to keep study-fees affordable, and the number of scholarships available keeps increasing. This section consists of calls from various universities and Institutions in Germany offering scholarships. 

More and more Indian students are now also enrolling themselves for higher education in Germany

German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)

The task of providing information about institutions of higher education as well as research institutes in Germany is being done by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), which was established in 1960 and promotes academic exchange between Germany and India.

Schools: Partners for the Future

“Schools: Partners for the Future” is an initiative of the Federal Foreign Office. It aims to build and develop a network of partner schools worldwide in order to encourage young people to take an interest in Germany and give children access to German language and education. In India, currently there are 51 schools participating in the initiative.
