iMOVE – “Training – Made in Germany“
The initiative iMOVE was established by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in 2001, in order to promote business relations of German training providers with international public and private organisations. iMOVE’s services include a mulilingual database that contains information about German training providers, conducting seminars and trainings, and leading trade missions abroad.

Joint Indo-German activities can make a major contribution towards the advancement of skill development in India.
Two agreements on Indo-German cooperation in vocational education and training were signed during a meeting on May 31, 2011 between Indian Minister of Labour Mallikarjun Kharge and German Minister of Education Annette Schavan. One of them was between India’s National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC) and iMOVE. The aim of the agreement is to involve German training providers in the expansion and improvement of Indian vocational education and training. iMOVE will support the NSDC in promoting private sector initiatives in the field of vocational training, as well as provide assistance with the launch and setting up of Sector Skill Councils. An important focus of the cooperation will be to impart know-how on the training of trainers.
The MoU with NSDC is the second agreement that iMOVE has concluded with an Indian partner. In October 2010, both iMOVE and the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) each signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
iMOVE is actively involved in the ’Year of Germany in India: 2011-2012’. Institutions from the fields of trade and industry, research, science and culture will use this occasion to present a multi-faceted image of Germany through mobile installations across India. iMOVE will promote 'Training – Made in Germany' at the BMBF pavilion.
iMOVE is also a member of the Indo-German Working Group on VET, which was established in 2008 and operates under the lead management of the BMBF and the Indian Ministry of Labour and Employment.
