Germany participates in 11th Auto Expo 2012

Germany showcases its technological excellence at Auto Expo 2012, the 11th edition of India’s largest automotive show being held in New Delhi  from 7 – 11 January 2012. All major German car producers, automotive component manufacturers and suppliers are present at this Auto Expo.

On 06 January, German Pavillion was inaugurated at Pragati Maidan, where apart from other dignitaries of automobile industry, Mr. Praful Patel, the Indian Minister of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises and Dr. C P Joshi, the Indian Minister of Road Transport & Highways were present. The inaugural ceremony was co-hosted by the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM). Mr. Cord Meier-Klodt, Germany's acting Ambassador to India hosted a reception at the Embassy premises the same evening to celebrate this German participation.

Germany has the largest country presence at Auto Expo 2012 in New Delhi

Germany—the birthplace of the modern automobile—is set to showcase its technological excellence at Auto Expo 2012, the 11th edition of India’s largest automotive show in New Delhi. As India and Germany celebrate 60 years of diplomatic relations with the Year of Germany in India, more than 75 German automotive companies display their products in the largest country participation at the show being held from 7 – 11 January 2012.
