German State of Rhineland-Palatinate explores business opportunities in India

A delegation from the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate led by Dr. Volker Wissing, Minister for Economic Affairs, Transportation, Agriculture and Viniculture, is visiting New Delhi, Pune, Mumbai und Ahmedabad from 19th to 27th November.
Minister Wissing is accompanied by members of the State Parliament of Rheinland-Pfalz, senior officials and a business delegation.
During his visit to New Delhi Minister Wissing called on Secretary Ramesh Abhishek, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Finance Secretary Ashok Lavasa and Secretary Agriculture, Shobhana Kumar Pattanayak. In a cordial atmosphere they discussed the future of business relations between entrepreneurs in Rhineland-Palatinate and India and how to deepen them further. The delegation also visited the German Centre in Gurgaon, where Dr Jana Helbig, Managing Director, shared the experiences of German companies doing business in India.
Ambassador Dr Martin Ney hosted a networking dinner for the delegation and Indian partners at his Residence.
On 22nd November, Minister Wissing attended the India-RLP (Rhineland-Palatinate) Business Forum, which was organised in cooperation with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). There, the delegation also conducted individual meetings with Indian companies. The German delegation is continuing to Pune, Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
