Ambassador Dr Martin Ney participates at the Bertelsmann Stiftung India Conference

Ambassador Dr Martin Ney participated in the Bertelsmann Stiftung India Conference at the Taj Mahal Hotel on 22nd September, where the Bertelsmann Study about India’s emerging innovation landscape and prospects for collaboration with Germany was launched.
The event began with a welcome note by Liz Mohn, Vice-Chairwoman, Bertelsmann Foundation and Dr Ney on the Indo- German cooperation, followed by a keynote speech on “Transforming India through Innovation” by Amitabh Kant, CEO NITI Aayog. Dr Ney said:
"Germany and India have a long standing close partnership in fields of private and public collaboration such as business, skill development, education and science and technology among many others. The Indian Government is also fostering small and medium-sized companies, which are also the backbone of the German economy."
There was also a presentation on the key findings of the ‘India Innovation Study’ by Wilfried Aulbur.
