After the dazzling performance by the German football freestyler – Maximilian Meyer and Daniel Korte – in Delhi, they rocked the Tourist Paradise of India, Goa with their amazing skills. The duo was on a two day tour in Goa. They performed at a children's festival, organized as a part of the grassroot programme by the Club's Forca Goa Foundation.

Ambassador Dr. Martin Ney visited Bhutan from 4th to 7th December. Germany and Bhutan do not have diplomatic relations, but enjoy close and friendly ties. This was made clear once again in the official talks with Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay and Foreign Minister Damcho Dorji. Both countries work together closely in multilateral forums.
On invitation by the Cultural Department of the German Embassy New Delhi, two German football freestylers, Maximilian Meyer and Daniel Korte made their way to Delhi to demonstrate their amazing skills. They performed fascinating tricks and left the football fans absolutely delighted.
German Embassy New Delhi in collaboration with the German House for Innovation and Research (DWIH) organised an Indo-German Symposium on Science Communication under the title ‘Bringing Science to people’ on 7th November.
On October 15th, Luisa Wegener and Tina Debenham of the German Embassy in New Delhi visited a project in the far east of Bhutan. Deputy Head of Mission Dr. Jasper Wieck visited young football talents during a special training session at Thyagaraj Stadium on 5th May. He presented footballs and small gifts to the aspiring football players, who are participating in the STAIRS Football Academies and have been selected for the STAIRS scholarship programme from more than 30,000 children.
The Heads of Mission of the EU Member States met with Indian Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Jayant Sinha, for a working lunch on 4th May. The guests were hosted by the new German Chargé d’Affaires, Dr Jasper Wieck.

The Vice-President of the Bundestag (German Parliament) Claudia Roth paid a visit to the Kingdom of Bhutan from 6th to 9th April.
The Kingdom of Bhutan invited German Environment Minister, Barbara Hendricks, for a visit from 5th to 8th April. The objective of the trip was to exchange views on forest development, nature conservation and climate action.

An expert meeting on ‘Making farming a business: Financing for agriculture – rural loans and farm finance’ was held at the German Embassy on 6th March. It was jointly organised by the Embassy and the German Agribusiness Alliance at the German Asia-Pacific Business Association.

On Friday, February 17th, a member of the German Embassy in New Delhi inaugurated the small scale project “edible school gardens” which was implemented by the Delhi based NGO “The Child Trust” (TCT).
