Visit of Air Chief Marshal NAK Browne, Chief of Indian Air Force, to Germany

In September 2011, Air Chief Marshal (ACM) NAK Browne, together with his wife, paid a five-day visit to Germany. The visit followed an invitation of the Chief of the Deutsche Luftwaffe (German Air Force), Lieutenant General Arne Kreuzinger-Janik.

ACM Browne took note that German Air Forces might have one of the longest traditions to operate jet fighter aircraft.
When ACM Browne and his wife were taken to the castle of Neuschwanstein by helicopter they were escorted for a short while by a EUROFIFGHTER of 74 Fighter Wing of the Luftwaffe.

Celebrating 21 years of German Reunification

On 3rd October 2011, Germany celebrated its 21st anniversary of German Unity. To commemorate this momentous occasion, the German Ambassador to India Thomas Matussek hosted a reception. About 1600 high-profile guests were present on this occasion, including political dignitaries, business leaders, media and celebrities from various other fields.
