Payment by Credit Card

You may pay for your passport or any other consular service either by cash in Indian Rupees or by credit card (Mastercard, Visa, American Express). Please note that payments by credit card must not exceed the value of 1,000 EURO and that the payable amount will be debited in EURO. 

Are you carrying €10,000 or more in cash?

All travellers entering or leaving the EU with €10,000 or more in cash must declare the amount to Customs. This initiative has been taken to assist the efforts being made by the European Union to tackle crime and improve security by cracking down on money laundering, terrorism and criminality.

German Value Added Tax Refund

The price for merchandise purchased in Germany includes a 19% Value Added Tax (VAT). The VAT can be refunded if the merchandise is purchased and exported by a customer whose residence is outside the European Union.
