The 10th Pune International Film Festival held between January 12th-19th concluded with the award ceremonies. The German Film "Wer, wenn nicht wir" (If not us, who?) won the award for the best international film. The award carries a citation and a cash prize of Rs. 10 Lakh.The Film, directed by the young german director, Andres Veiel, narrates aspects of the RAF terror movement in Germany during the 60s and is based on the true story of the protagonists Bernward Vesper and fellow university student Gudrun Ensslin. Faujia Khan, Minister of State for Culture, Government of Maharashtra presided over the function. H.E. Cord Meier-Klodt, Ambassador of Germany was the Chief Guest and Anand Kulkarni, Principal Secretary for Culture, Tourism and Excise and Michael Flucht, Director of Goethe Institut, were the Guests of Honour.
