Impressions of the IIJS 2012
The 29th India International Jewellery Show (IIJS 2012) took place in Mumbai from the 23rd to 27th August, 2012. With a share of 14% of the Indian exports, the precious stone and jewellery industry belongs to the branches with a maximum growth potential. India is increasingly gaining significance in the diamond processing industry and also as a production site for high-priced jewellery designing of well-known brands.
The IIJS 2012 had over 850 exhibitors, 1,700 stands, pavilions from Belgium, Israel, Thailand, Turkey and the UAE and had expected over 30,000 trade visitors.
This year German companies were represented in the technical field of the international platform of the Gemstone industry, which was visited by the Deputy Consul General of the German Consulate General in Mumbai, Mr. Michael Ott. Click to see the images captured during the IIJS.
