German-Indian Roundtable, Pune
The German-Indian Round Table (GIRT) was set up by Rudolf Weigler in 2001 and represents an affiliation of people with a strong economic and individual interest in India.
The goal of GIRT is to obtain information about India and the nurturing of the German-Indo economic relations. In addition to this, cultural and social indian-activities are also supported through the German-Indian Stammtisch. Establishment of further Stammtische is being worked upon.
The information-radius of the GIRT comprises of about 3,000 people from the German-Indo economic scene.
The heads and the speaker of GIRT carry out their activities on an honoraray basis.
Dr. Andreas Waldraff from Berlin is the speaker of the German-India Round Table Since February 2010.
