The Consulate General in Mumbai has a dedicated budget set aside, with which it supports small-scale projects at grassroot levels. The Consulate General makes independent decisions regarding the allocation of funds and extends support to the developmental work of the short-listed projects within the Consulate's jurisdiction. Besides an introduction to the projects supported by us, you will also find below the guidelines for the allocation of funds along with an application form as a download.

Projects supported in 2011
In 2011 the Consulate General in Mumbai funded the following projects:
- Computer equipments for Sadhana Village in Pune to create an awareness amongst the youth about computer literacy and its benefits in enhancing one's career prospects.
- Project car for Ecumenical Sangam in Nagpur to be able to provide better consulting and assistance in case of familial crisis and domestic violence.
- Solar lamps for All People's Development Welfare Society in Bhopal to be able to install energy-saving and environmental friendly lighting in 3 villages, which would ease the task of doing the household chores during the evening hours.
- Basic furniture and materials for Love and Care Indian Trust in Nagpur for a primary school for street children to provide them with access to basic education.
