Berlinale - the 64th Berlin International Film Festival is back! The Berlinale 2014 takes place from February 6-16, 2014 at various venues across the city of Berlin. With more than 300,000 tickets sold and an expected 20,000 professional visitors from over 124 countries, the Berlinale only gets bigger with each passing year. The festival showcases over 400 films of every genre, length and format under various categories. The films wil be vying for awards under various categories like the Best International Short Film, Best First Feature Award etc., amongst others. This year's esteemed jury for the different categories comprises of reputed names from the world of international cinema.

British Director Ken Loach wins the Lifetime Achievement award for his contribution to the world of films and will be presented the Honorary Golden Bear.

The Indian contingent is very strongly represented with 10 Indian films being screened in various categories. Prabhat Pheri, a film directed by Jessica Sadana and Samarth Satyajit Ray's "Nayak" Enlarge image (© RDB Entertainments) Dixit makes it's world premier at the Berlinale this year. Also going to be showcased is Satyajit Ray's 1966 classic "Nayak" featuring Sharmila Tagore and Uttam Kumar, which has been restored by RDB Enertainments in 2K resolution last year. The film was nominated for the Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival in 1966.
