On the occasion of this year’s annual meet of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, Chennai, a number of illustrious speakers made a convincing argument for further strengthening Indo-German collaboration. On the dais, the guest of honor, Venu Srinivasan, chairman of TVS, made a convincing case for joint ventures and the realistic expectations of such endeavors, Principal Secretary to Government, C.V. Sankar presented the investment opportunities in Tamil Nadu, Bernhard Steinrücke, Director General of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, gave the overall picture of bilateral trade and identified areas to focus on. As did the Consul General in his address, he cited the upcoming Hannover Fair in April 2015, in which India appears as partner country, as an opportunity not to be missed. Chairman of the Southern Regional Chapter, Ranjit Pratap and and Director of the IGCC Chennai, S. Raj, underlined the engagement and success of the chamber’s work and good offices.
