On 6th February, 2012, the Indo-German Healthcare Dialogue took place at the Hotel Lalith Ashok Bangalore within the framework of the Bangalore India Bio 2012. The German Consul General, Dr. Ingo Karsten, took part in the dialogue and delivered a speech.

The Consul General Dr. Ingo Karsten participated at the India IT Summit 2012 in Trivandrum, Kerala, on January 19, 2012, which was inaugurated by the honourable Chief Minister of the Government of Kerala, Mr. Oomen Chandy. Dr. Karsten delivered a speech on Germany`s IT strategy for the future and opportunities for bilateral business cooperation.

The German Consul General Dr. Ingo Karsten addressed a conference organized by the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce and the German Renewables Academy on Solar Energy in Bangalore on November 14, 2011. He gave an outline of Germany´s energy concept and Indo-German cooperation on renewable energy.

‘Germany sees Bangalore as technological heart of India’
The German Consulate General in Bangalore recently expanded operations and started functioning from its new premises on St Marks Road. The German Consulate General was the first foreign mission to set up office in India's IT-city three years back.
