FILE YOUR VISA APPLICATION IN FIVE EASY STEPS:

STEP 1:

Please prepare the necessary documentation for your visa application using the following checklists:

Please note that the photos should meet biometric photos requirements [pdf, 1,350.34k] .
In Bangalore, these photos can be obtained, among others, at all GK Vale Photo studios.

STEP 2:

Please fill out the online application form , print it out and bring it along with the other documents.

STEP 3:

To complete your documentation, please print out the following declarations and sign them:

Declaration on true and complete information [pdf, 68.1k]
Declaration on health insurance (for multiple-entry visas only) [pdf, 64.39k]

STEP 4:

Now you can schedule an appointment to submit your visa application. Kindly book one appointment per applicant.

On the day of your appointment themandatory visa interview will take place.         
Frequent travellers (either holders of at least two Schengen visas issued within the last 24 months or holders of Schengen visas with a validity of one or more years which have been used within the last 24 months) may submit their applications through a third person. This option is not available for first time applicants or applicants whose visa application has been recently rejected by another consular mission.

Applications may not be submitted by courier, regular post, fax or e-mail.

STEP 5:

Shortly before your appointment, please verify the current exchange rate for your visa fee on this website and obtain the demand draft, payable to the “Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany, Bangalore”.

The consulate requires approximately three working days to process your visa application.

Schengen visa

A Schengen visa entitles the holder to an accumulated stay of up to 90 days within a period of six months and is valid for Germany, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland (Schengen Area).

Visa fees

The visa fee has to be paid in Rupees by Demand Draft in the name of the "Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany, Bangalore" at the time of submission of the visa application.  

The Demand Draft must be payable in Bangalore and should be made only a few days before your appointment . Demand Drafts with incorrect amounts will not be accepted. Fees cannot be paid in cash. Please note that the visa fee is not refundable, even when the visa is rejected.
