Parliamentary delegation from Bavaria visits Bengaluru

A delegation from the CSU Parliamentary Group in the Bavarian State Parliament visited Bengaluru on 18th and 19th April 2017. Exactly ten years ago, in April 2007, the states of Karnataka and Bavaria had signed a Memorandum of Understanding on promotion of trade and cooperation in the areas of commerce, technology, tourism and other sectors. The MPs, led by Mr. Erwin Huber, chairmen of the economic committee of the Bavarian State Parliament, came to Bengaluru to strengthen the cooperation between the two states.     

The delegation discussed an enhanced cooperation in the area of police with the Home Minister of Karnataka Dr. G. Parameshwara. They also evaluated a possible cooperation on cyber security and the promotion of start-ups with the Minister for Information Technology and Tourism Priyank Kharge.

Later the delegation visited the new building of Infineon on MG road, the company Quest Global and the start-up accelerator Axilor Ventures, where they got to know the differences in the start-up culture between India and Germany.
