Scheduling a Visa Appointment

Prior to the submission of an application at the German Embassy, all applicants need to get their application cross-verified at either of the following German Visa Application Centres:

At the Visa Application Centre each applicant will be booked for an appointment for personal appearance at the German Embassy. Submission of the application at the Visa Application Centre and arranging the appointment may be done by the applicant in person, or any authorised third person.

Admission to the Visa Section of the German Embassy will only be granted at the time of the scheduled appointment. Arriving late will consequently result in re-scheduling of the appointment. Kindly note that there might be some waiting period after admission to the Visa Section, depending on the duration of the preceding interviews.

Direct submission

If an applicant prefers to submit his visa application directly to the German Embassy, the Visa Section needs to be contacted either on phone (0 - 11 - 44199143 for all national callers and 0091 - 11 - 44199143 if calling from outside India) between 1.30 pm – 4.30 pm Mondays through Thursdays or by sending us an e-mail.

There is no option to submit a visa application without prior appointment!

Appointments for direct submission are very limited and available only from Monday to Thursday.
 

First-time travellers have to come in person to submit their applications, whereas frequent travellers may submit their applications through an authorised person who carries a photo ID. Kindly note that when submitting an application directly, you have to ensure that it is complete in all respects. Incomplete applications will result in immediate refusal.

Any form of electronic devices, like mobile phone, cameras, etc. are not allowed to be carried inside the premises of the German Embassy. To avoid any inconvenience, please go through the list of restricted items carefully!

You can fill the Schengen Visa Form (short term stay - upto 90 days) electronically. After filling the form, take a printout and submit it. Please don't forget to submit the declaration on True and Complete Information alongwith the printed copy of visa application form!
